Like many of our ponies, there is a story behind Misty
Surprise's name. Of course the "Surprise" part comes from
her sire Surpreme Surprise but where did "Misty" come from?
The morning that Misty was born was extremely foggy, the
water droplets hung in the air like a mist. When Gray Lady
appeared out of the mist she had a surprise for us! The
surprise was the smallest, most petite filly we had ever seen.
At just a few weeks old we showed Misty for the first time and
she did wonderfully dispite her diminutive size. Misty has
gone on to be one of our top broodmares, producing such
notables as Royal Kryptonite, one of our herdsires, and Royal
Frosted Surprise, who is an ASPC Hall of Fame Superior Dam.
